Elect Ed Cyngier

for North Royalton Ward 6 Councilman

A Community for Everyone

Hello, My name is Ed Cyngier and I am running to represent Ward 6 on the North Royalton City Council. My wife and I chose North Royalton as our home ten years ago and we love living in this community. I decided to run to represent Ward 6 to ensure everyone in our city has their concerns heard and addressed. You may have already met me while I was out gathering signatures to get on the ballot, but if we have not yet met I hope that we will soon. If you see me in the coming months either knocking at your door, your neighbor’s door, or just around town, please stop me and say hello. That is, unless I introduce myself first! I want to hear what you have to say. I look forward to meeting you and listening to the thoughts and concerns that you may have about Ward 6.

As a resident, I have become concerned with our current City Council acting increasingly like a body whose purpose is no longer to represent the people, but instead to use hostile tactics and play partisan games to keep others out. I believe that the role of City Council is to make North Royalton a great place to live for everyone, not to abuse the power we have entrusted them with. I have always been a very pragmatic person and will make decisions I think will benefit the members of my Ward and the city of North Royalton at large and will always take the thoughts of my constituents into account.

Why Vote for Ed Cyngier?

I have lived in Ohio for most of my life and grew up right next door in Strongsville. My wife and I chose to move here and set down roots. We intend to live, work, and retire here in North Royalton. We were attracted to the excellent school system, cost of living, and the perfect blend between rural and suburbia that is North Royalton. I have been an IT professional for about 15 years and when I want to get away from the endless screens, I appreciate how easy it is to go for a walk with my dogs in our park system or around the trail loop at City Hall.

I have been in a senior role in IT for the past 5 years and have have been a technical lead on large projects with a nationwide scope. This has taught me how to manage big jobs by breaking them down into smaller more manageable tasks to then recommend a path forward. When problems arise, I know how to find the right solutions. The skills I’ve learned over the course of my career can be well transferred to solving our community’s everyday issues. I look forward to serving you all well and utilizing all my experience, should you elect me to city council.

Ed’s Top Priorities

Residents over Politics

Our city council should be focused on how to make the North Royalton community a better place for everyone. To me, that means better for all its residents, better for its city employees, and better for the local businesses that call North Royalton home. Instead of remembering who they serve (the residents), some current council members are playing partisan games that are not productive and have no place in our community.

Efficient City Services and Well-Maintained Infrastructure

The vendors who provide services to our city need be held to a high standard. They should provide both effective and efficient services to North Royalton. In addition, another critical step in choosing any vendor to meet our needs will be making sure that they treat and pay their employees well.

With any new development being considered for our city we need to pay attention to just how it will benefit our residents. Is it needed? Is it something our residents want? These questions need to be asked and answered before making any decisions.

Finally, I will always be looking for opportunities to modernize our infrastructure where it makes sense and is cost-effective.

Being Responsive to our Community’s Concerns

I value input from residents on important issues impacting our ward and city. I plan be available to listen to your concerns as they arise and do what I can to help. If you have any issues that concern you or our ward, please email me at ecyngier@cyngierforcouncil.com. I look forward to serving the North Royalton community!
